The Monkey

When twin brothers Hal and Bill find their father’s old toy monkey in the attic, they are confronted with a series of deaths around them: every time the monkey beats his drum, it seems like an omen of fate. To escape this curse, they dump the monkey and in the years that follow, the brothers go their separate ways. But when the unexplained deaths suddenly start again, Hal and Bill must unite once again to destroy the doomed toys once and for all. Longlegs director Osgood Perkins takes Stephen King’s tale to new terrifying heights, in a mix of gruesome horror and black comedy. Theo James (The Gentlemen, The White Lotus) plays a dual role as both twin brothers, and the cast is rounded out by Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black) and Elijah Wood (The Lord of The Rings).
