The Hunting Party - Een feest van kunst

The Hunting Party is an exchange exhibition between artists from Brabant and South Holland. The hunt will open in Schiedam. The second part will follow in September 2026, in Oss. The exhibition is organized by Martine de Heij.

The idea and name are based on the large international art fair "Huntenkunst." At this fair, held at the DRUfabriek in Ulft, contacts are made, ideas are exchanged, and friendships are formed. It's a wonderful party every year. During the 2024 fair, Martine de Heij came up with the idea to continue this party with this exhibition and the follow-up exhibition at K26 in Oss, an artist collective like KunstWerkt.

A wide variety of colorful work will be on display, from photographs and paintings to sculptures, assemblages, and installations. See the similarities, but also the differences, between the work of the artists from Rijnmond and Brabant.

Opening on Sunday, November 16 at 3:30 PM by Arjen Baas, former chairman of KunstWerkt. The gentlemen of Yonder will play background music.

Performance by Evelien de Jong on Saturday, November 22 at 2:00 PM. JOUWERELD: 'Grab the Past', 'Hug the Future'.

Lecture with a coppersmithing demonstration on Sunday, November 30 at 2:30 PM. Sculptor Alice Bakker will demonstrate how she forges her sculptures.

Final event on Sunday, December 7 at 3:30 PM; the artists will be present.
