American band The Gotobeds from Pittsburgh brings an explosive mix of art rock, punk and noise full of sarcasm, grinding guitars and unexpectedly catchy hooks. The sound of The Gotobeds evokes memories of bands like Wire, Sonic Youth and The Fall, but with their own chaotic-charismatic twist. On labels like Sub Pop and 12XU they are steadily building their discography. Their latest album Masterclass was created during the corona crisis and shows how urgent, erratic and witty guitar music can still be. Live, The Gotobeds is a whirlwind of fierceness, idiosyncrasy and certainly never predictable.
