The Fall forward

Some bands need three genres, four subordinate clauses and half a music encyclopedia to explain what they do. The Fall Forward keeps it simpler. Two guitars, bass, drums and a voice that isn't just there for decoration. Solid riffs, then, but with enough melody to prevent it from just being loud. This unpolished Rotterdam band was formed in 2020 and explicitly seeks the combination of power, melody and vocal harmonies. Grand guitars, a driving rhythm section and songs that, besides muscle, also simply have a melody. In 2025, the five-track EP First Drop was released, including No Time to Lose, Control and Respect. A second EP is already on the way. This results in melodic alternative rock that occasionally knocks loudly on the door, but also knows when that door can simply be opened. No complicated story, no inflated rock attitude and no set that requires a truck. Just five men, original songs and a stage. On Saturday, October 3, The Fall Forward will be at SoundVille.
