The End We Start From

While a woman (Jodie Comer) gives birth to her first child, London is submerged by a massive flood. This ecological disaster forces her and her partner to leave their home and search for shelter and food amid the chaos. Although they initially find shelter with family, the increasingly grim aftermath of the flood drives the woman and her partner apart. Now, accompanied by her baby, she must find her own way to safety, straight through the English countryside. This journey reveals both her vulnerability and her inner strength as a woman and young mother. Jodie Comer ( Killing Eve ), Katherine Waterston ( The World to Come ) and Oscar winner Benedict Cumberbatch star in this realistic climate thriller from debuting director Mahalia Belo, based on the book of the same name by Megan Hunter. The film premiered at the Toronto Film Festival.
