Teus Nobel at BIRD Rotterdam!

Teus Nobel is one of the leaders of the Dutch jazz scene. In addition to 7 albums under his own name, he collaborated with, among others, Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw, Jef Neve, Cor Bakker, Frank McComb and Ntjam Rosie. He has played concerts in more than 25 countries on all continents and has appeared on numerous TV and radio shows

programs at home and abroad.

After the release of their studio album Journey Of Man in 2019, jazz trumpeter and Edison winner Teus Nobel played about twenty concerts with this jazz formation, the Liberty Group. It resulted in such a well-rehearsed formation that, after a concert in Amsterdam's Bimhuis, the Volkskrant even mentioned 'one of the finest experiences a lover of live jazz could wish for' (5 stars). The formation started writing new repertoire and recorded an album for a live audience in June 2021: Pleasure Is The Measure. 'Perhaps the best trumpet album ever made in Dutch jazz history,' says Jazzenzo. He is currently writing new repertoire for a future album called Child's Play. In BIRD we will get a first impression of this new work, in combination with the gems from the previous 3 albums of his Liberty Group, so make sure you are there!
