Attention all Papiamentu-speaking art lovers! Our next Papiamentu Language Tour takes place on Saturday, February 28th at 11:00 AM.

Join us on an artistic journey led by our Papiamentu art mediator Sabrina Schoop . Sabrina will be your guide, exploring three exhibitions at the Melly Art Institute: "I Breathe, You Breathe" by Donna Kukama , "Spirit Faith Grace Rage" by Marilyn Nance , and "Suitcase Economy" by Riet Wijnen .

At Kunstinstituut Melly, we believe in the power of art to create connections and share stories. Our LANGUAGE TOUR program is a unique opportunity to explore our exhibitions in your native language, led by expert art mediators who not only share their knowledge of the art but also incorporate cultural contexts and personal perspectives.

With LANGUAGE TOURS, we offer tours in three languages: Turkish, Papiamento, and Arabic/Moroccan. These tours are specifically designed to promote inclusion and accessibility, giving everyone the opportunity to experience art in the language they feel most comfortable with.

Our art mediators play a key role in this program. They contribute not only their multilingual skills but also their knowledge and passion for contemporary art. With their diverse backgrounds, they offer enriching perspectives that add an extra dimension to viewing artworks.

With the LANGUAGE TOUR program we want to make art accessible to a wider audience and bring communities closer together, where everyone feels welcome and involved.
