Stiekem Hooglied TOEAC / Ria Marks / Ariane Schluter

Hera and Roeland coincidentally end up sitting opposite each other on the ferry to Norway. During the night crossing, they observe the other from the corner of their eyes.

In their heads, the fantasy takes them beyond limits, they dream bigger than ever before and during this sleepless night they become captivated by that beautiful stranger. An almost unbearable longing for the other who, who knows, could mean salvation for both their small, unhappy lives. Do our travelers dare to take the step to share this blazing, silent love with each other? And what will that lead to?

Play and music merge seamlessly in the latest musical theater performance by accordion duo TOEAC, with actors Ariane Schluter and Ali Ben Horsting.

Ariane, two-time winner of the Theo d'Or theater prize, plays with various theater companies and has received praise for her role in films such as Lucia de B. and Een Goed Leven . She worked with directors Paula van der Oest and Alex van Warmerdam, among others.

Ali Ben has appeared in films such as Moordvrouw and Vlucht HS13 . He received recognition for the stage performance of Eddie Carbone in Seen from the Bridge , makes performances himself and plays with various theater companies.

TOEAC (Pieternel Bekkers and Renée Berkers) makes voices sound like wind instruments, strings and singers. The press writes about 'envious dexterity, musical insight and a good dose of courage'. With the most beautiful music from the Baroque, Romantic, contemporary and tango periods, programs are full of contrasts.
