Spotlight on! Marlies’ Neighbors perform improvisational theater.

This is an afternoon of improvisational theatre for everyone between 4 and 104 years old! The theme, as is only fitting during Children's Book Week, is this afternoon's 'On Stage!' You won't want to miss this performance!

No one knows yet what Marlies’ Little Neighbors are going to do; even they themselves don’t know yet. Because you are in charge this afternoon. The players improvise based on suggestions from the audience, and this afternoon that audience comes from the children: this is how the location or subject of a scene is determined, and an emotion or a strange character trait can be added. Is a visitor, an object like a thick book with a fountain pen, or a boat needed in a scene? Then the children may play them. We also happily ask (grand)parents to play a food processor, a printing press, or a bookshelf.

Directing? If you dare (and we'll give you a hand), you can take the lead too. Faster, more exuberant, with a tear or without words: anything is possible. It almost always brings a smile, sometimes very hilarious scenes, but also touching moments with different children in the lead roles in every scene.

Of course, you will have a drink at De Buurvrouw afterwards. There will also be time for a meet and greet!
