SOLO Vincent Boy Kars

This project is a co-production between Narrative Identity Records and mint2. Narrative Identity Records is a Rotterdam based label specialized in soundtracks and narrative music, a collaboration between filmmaker Vincent Boy Kars and composer Beau Zwart. SOLO premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam 2023.

The creator

Since graduating from the AKV St. Joost Academy in 2015, Vincent Boy Kars (1990, Netherlands) has made a name for himself as a documentary filmmaker who explores identity, self-image and sexuality. He often does this within the context of the digital age. Kars plays with the documentary format by exploring the boundaries between fiction and reality. He has made three hybrid feature films: Independent Boy (2017), Drama Girl (2020) and Future Me (2024).
