solfestice met I Compani

With this concert we celebrate the longest day (and therefore the shortest night). This is literally the Solstice moment, but Olga Beumer came up with the name Solfestice because it is always a mini festival.

This project has already been performed five times before in Brebl in Nijmegen and also on other stages. Its creator: Bo van de Graaf. He selects a number of musicians for each version and comes up with a theme. Last year's episode, with a number of young musicians, delivered a steamy concert and should be performed more often, according to the musicians and also the organization of this stage. The central theme of this evening is: THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM. During the concert the audience will discover who or what that elephant is... The repertoire consists mainly of compositions by all musicians. There are solos, duets, trios and of course many pieces by the entire group.

Thomas Jaspers – drums; Wiro Mahieu – bass; Philipp Rüttgers – piano; Ad Coolen – tenor sax; Wietse Voermans – alto, tenor and baritone sax; Bo van de Graaf – sopranino, soprano, alto and tenor sax.
