Skeletje
Skeleton is a moving and playful performance about mourning, memory and celebrating life. With music, mime and magic it pays a colourful tribute to those we miss – and never forget.
In Skeletje, Maas theater en dans and Grote Mensen bring a cheerful and moving ode to memory. Inspired by Día de los Muertos, two players take you on a theatrical journey between life and death. With mime, music, slapstick and magic, they build a colorful place on an empty stage full of flowers, candles, stories and skeletons. The performance investigates what happens when someone is no longer there, and how we can keep that person alive in our memories. Suitcases become altars, flowers grow out of the floor, and even skeletons dance with pleasure. Sadness is given a place, but also joy, play and imagination. Skeletje shows that saying goodbye can also be light and loving. An intimate, visual performance for everyone from 5 years old - big, small, fleshy or bony.
