A Jewish family story by Frans Meijer in the Volkskeuken of Verhalenhuis Belvédère.
Frans Meijer tells his remarkable family history using many photos and documents. He tells about his Rotterdam nephew Ino Weissmann. About his grandfather Izaäk Meijer. About his (half)brother Leo and about his father Herman Meijer, the pharmacist of Westerbork, who survived Theresienstadt and Auschwitz. “Don't be scared, I'm still here!”. With these words Herman Meijer announced his return from the war by telephone in May 1945. No one had expected him back.
