RUSH Mette Ingvartsen (DK) DK
RUSH is a solo performance with Manon Santkin, in honor of her 20-year collaboration with choreographer Mette Ingvartsen. This piece honors their partnership and the art of performance by reviving highlights from their previous works and offering audiences a fresh experience of familiar material.
In RUSH, Santkin takes the audience through her personal history with Ingvartsen's choreography, transforming her body like a chameleon as she revisits previous performances. She explores the monstrous qualities of 'Manual Focus', the natural environment of 'The Artificial Nature Project' and the sexual politics of 'To come' and '7 Pleasures', weaving a rich tapestry of connections and capturing the essence of each piece reveals. .
Through storytelling and narration, Santkin creates a personal connection with the audience before taking the stage. Her expressive delivery and physicality bring each character and scenario to life, transporting viewers through memories and experiences. RUSH is more than a performance; it is an immersive journey that shows the transformative power of art and stories. You may have seen Ingvartsen's work before at Theater Rotterdam. She graced our stage with six different works and was one of the headliners of Feeling Curious last year? festival with the epic Skatepark.
