Rotterdam Arab Film Festival celebrates 25 years with a versatile programme full of film, music and culture from the Arab world.
The Rotterdam Arab Film Festival celebrates its 25th edition with a rich and varied programme from 28 May to 1 June. The official opening in De Doelen marks the start of a festival full of Arabic cinema, live performances and cultural activities at various locations in Rotterdam, including LantarenVenster and Arabesque, a cultural experience by RAFF in the Fenix museum. This year, legendary icon Umm Kulthum, whose influence is still felt today, is honoured. Visitors can enjoy a wide range of films—from renowned makers to emerging talent—and participate in masterclasses, conversations and musical performances. With special guests from the Arab film and art world, such as Hussein Fahmy Mahmoud and Laila Ahmed Elwi, this anniversary edition promises to be an inspiring and unforgettable experience.
