Roseanne Reid (UK) ^UK

Roseanne Reid is a twentysomething from the Scottish highlands, but she doesn't sound like one. The Scottish is blessed with a voice with a lived-in crack that is somewhere between a young Bonnie Raitt and Aimee Mann.

Roseanne herself calls Martha Wainwright as one of her great role models. She also sings candidly about female love. Steve Earle is one of her biggest fans and also sings on her latest album Trails.

Roseanne does not get her musicality from strangers: her father is Craig Reid of The Proclaimers.
