For fans of: The Smashing Pumpkins, Pixies, My Bloody Valentine.

LA-based band Rocket chose their name for a reason: It perfectly encapsulates the explosive energy of their sound. Their shoegaze-infused indie rock clashes sharp guitars with soaring vocals, while stripped-down verses slowly build tension before exploding into euphoric choruses—only to crash back down into hardcore-infused riffs. Their lively dynamic between loud and soft is vibrant and raw, reminiscent of Sonic Youth and Dinosaur Jr., reimagined into a sculpture for the Gen Z era.

Their debut EP Versions of You (2023) feels like a time capsule, capturing the turbulent transition from late teens to early twenties. Now, in February 2025, they’re back with new single Take Your Aim—lingering, gritty, melancholic, and raw! What’s not to love?
