Save the Jungle is a beautiful animated film, both heartwarming and exciting, set in the jungle of Borneo.

We meet city girl Kéria, her cousin Selaï and baby orangutan Oshi. Together they try to protect the tropical rainforest. Kéria lives with her father on the edge of the rainforest when her cousin Selaï comes from the jungle to live with them for a while. When Kéria finds a baby orangutan, they want to take care of it together so that they can later release the monkey back into the rainforest. But the jungle is threatened by large logging companies. Together, Kéria, Selaï and Oshi will overcome obstacles to fight against the planned logging. In doing so, Kéria learns more about the rainforest and her own origins.

Save the Jungle is from the makers of My Name Is Courgette and made in the same unique stop-motion style. Director Claude Barras shows once again that he can bring important themes to attention in a clever way.
