Visual representation about one event and its impact on three generations of women.
Aline Vervoort, Stefanie Claes' grandmother, spent a year in the German women's concentration camp Ravensbrück. She survived those dark months of cold, hunger and abuse, but her life was forever marked. Nothing was ever the same again. It turned out to affect not only her life, but also that of her daughter and granddaughters.
Small, crafted, personal and visual. With her special theatre language, Stefanie can theatricalize the story of Aline Vervoort and the echo across generations. Not only documentaries, historical reference works and interviews with trauma experts, but also the conversations with her (grand)mother and fragments from personal letters form her source of inspiration.
