The Ensemble Of Cultural Approximation—or TECA—is a unique name for a unique band. Toss a coin into this whimsical jukebox and you're instantly transported to a random place in the world where it's well over 25 degrees Celsius and the rhythms compel you to dance. TECA isn't just a band. It's the sound of shroombia!
Afro-Surinamese QUANZA doesn't care about genres. With raw, unbridled energy, he blends black psychedelic rock and hip-hop into a vibrant, futuristic sound. Armed with a guitar and a killer band, this lovechild of Jimi Hendrix and NERD sets any stage ablaze. QUANZA has already been played on BBC Radio 1 and was one of the highlights of the recent ESNS. Now it's RAUW's turn!
VAAGUE is the alter ego of Brussels drummer and producer Antoine Pierre. Live, he transforms into a one-man orchestra where drums, synthesizers, and real-time sampling merge unpredictably. No rigid loops, but a constant, dynamic dialogue between man and machine. Drum and bass, ambient soundscapes, and hypnotic club rhythms, inspired by Squarepusher, Flying Lotus, and Thom Yorke, but above all, very VAAGUE. Get ready for an immersive musical journey!
