Purple Rain
Prince + a touch of purple = one of the slickest and tastiest music films ever made.
Prince made his film debut in this rock 'n' roll movie about an otherworldly musical talent from Minneapolis. The Kid has a turbulent private life and seeks an escape in his music and his passion for the sexy singer Apollonia Kotero. In 1984, Prince had the world at his feet with his feature film debut and the soundtrack bursting with hits. The melodrama is laid on thick, but with his guitar, Prince makes you believe every note. On the soundtrack, Prince and The Revolution pull out all the stops with Let's Go Crazy, I Would Die 4 U, When Doves Cry and the title track.
