Patrick van der Jagt presenteert Caveman
'This is a story of resurrection that is unparalleled. I only believe it because I was right there with my nose.' Beau van Erven Dorens
In Caveman, Patrick van der Jagt tells how he comes home after living on the streets for twenty years. For years he lived without a roof over his head with the sole aim of scraping together money and finding a place to sleep. He was addicted to cocaine and heroin and worked in prostitution.
During The Rotterdam Project in 2018, Patrick moved millions of viewers. He kicked the habit on national television, fell in love with the editor-in-chief of the television program, had a son together with her and is now a successful photographer and motivational speaker. This is a story about (self)love, resilience and the tough life on the streets.
'No matter how big the hole you've dug for yourself, how hopeless life may seem at times, and how few teeth you have in your mouth, everyone can learn to love themselves again.' Patrick van der Jagt
Patrick van der Jagt (1975) was homeless and addicted to drugs for a large part of his life. He became famous through the television program Het Rotterdam Project by Beau van Erven Dorens and the spin-off Caveman. He has now been clean for five years, works as a photographer and motivational speaker and lives with his girlfriend Francine and son Floris (two years old) in Castricum.
