Parfum de BoemBoem is going on another expedition through M4H (Merwe-Vierhavens) Rotterdam! For years they have been following the transformation of the (old) port and industrial area and former fruit port in Rotterdam West. With these routes it becomes visible to everyone what is developing in this raw area behind the Marconiplein. Discover the old port warehouses, industrial buildings and other vacant lots with overgrown greenery, where here and there a special artist or storyteller will appear... Parfum de BoemBoem has been following the transformation of M4H, from industrial area to an energetic new city district for living, working and learning the M4 area, for years. During this expedition you will meet the makers who are working on the future; through circular use of raw materials, new clean and sustainable energy sources and smart mobility. In between we walk past former harbor sheds and warehouses that breathe the rich history of the port of Rotterdam. Along the way you will meet artists, musicians and performers who add an extra experience to the area in their own poetic way.

The M4H: Future Makers on the Maas route has the innovative mix of living, working and learning in M4H as a common thread. The Municipality of Rotterdam and the Port of Rotterdam Authority are developing M4H into a lively mix of living and working, with catering, design and art and culture. Innovative entrepreneurs, architects, researchers, designers and creatives work, devise, test and develop smart applications for a sustainable city and port together here.
