Oscar
The hit production Oscar is coming back! With dance, circus and live music by Blaudzun, Oscar pays a spectacular tribute to Oscar Carré, the founder of the theater on the Amstel. His visionary view in combination with his colorful and dramatic life is a source of inspiration for choreographer Ed Wubbe. With the entire dance ensemble of Scapino, eight circus artists, Blaudzun and his six-piece band, many disciplines merge.
Scapino created the performance in 2022 on behalf of Carré for its 135th anniversary. All eighteen performances were sold out. With a new series, now also in Rotterdam, choreographer and artistic director Ed Wubbe says goodbye to Scapino after 30 years.
