Nieuwe Impuls Connected
Six Artwork participants inspire each other.
This year's exhibitors include not only newcomers but also veterans and returnees; artists who may not be familiar with each other's work, or may not be familiar with it well.
Establishing connections is one of KunstWerkt's objectives. This encompasses not only introducing the public to art and artists, but also fostering contact between artists. This involves getting to know each other, encouraging them, honing their own vision, learning from each other, and inspiring them. This group exhibition was created based on the work and mindset of the participating artists; where do they differ from each other, where do they connect? Each artist, through their own work, injects new impetus into the work of their colleagues. And that's how it should be, of course.
The exhibition can be visited from Thursday 8 January at 1 p.m.
The opening will take place on Sunday, January 18th at 3:30 PM with an opening remark by KunstWerkt chairman Marcel Houtkamp. He will launch the cultural podcast created for this exhibition by Margareth Bles. Through short interviews, she will introduce the artists and their work in an informative yet playful way. The podcast will then be available for visitors to the exhibition.
The New Year's reception will take place afterwards.
The closing event will take place on Sunday, February 1st at 3:30 PM with an Artist Talk led by Milla Dijkmans, 13, a student at De Theaterhavo/vwo in Rotterdam. There will also be a performance by Ishtar Bakhtali that afternoon. Her act, titled TIIGRI, is part of the music event "Gluren bij de buren," taking place that day at various locations throughout the country, including Schiedam.
