Myles Sanko

With his funky, jazzy and vintage soul he subsequently performed all over the world, including with Gregory Porter and with James Brown's soul diva Martha High. Myles is inspired by great soul artists such as Bill Withers, Otis Redding, Al Green and James Brown. You can hear this style in Myles' debut Born in Black & White, which was released in 2013 and earned him a worldwide fan base - including Gregory Porter.

His sixth album Let It Unfold will be released in October this year, all of the songs of which he composed, produced and released on his own label 213 Music. On this album, Sanko deals with traumas from his childhood and sings about his dreams for the future. Creating the songs was therapeutic and empowering for Sanko: it helped him embrace his vulnerabilities and celebrate his strengths.

How does that sound? Expect soul, jazz, hip hop and the rhythmic influences of his Ghanaian roots blended into one catchy soulful sound.
