My Driver & I

Saudi director and actress Ahd Kamel’s feature debut was eagerly anticipated. The film tells the story of Salma, a young, privileged and rebellious Saudi woman, and her relationship with Gamar, a Sudanese man hired by her family as a driver. What begins as a traditional employer-employee relationship develops into a deep friendship that explores the social and cultural boundaries of Saudi society. The film is an intimate portrait of two individuals who, despite their different backgrounds, form a deep bond that challenges conventional norms.
