Musique Botanique met het Unique Quintet

We cordially invite you to a special musical event at Trompenburg Tuinen & Arboretum, part of our summer concert series: Musique Botanique.

On Sunday morning, September 8, it is the turn of 'The Unique Quintet', consisting of members of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, including Robert Franenberg.

Why unique? In classical music there are two standard string quintet settings: 2 violins, 2 violas, cello or 2 violins, viola, 2 cellos. Many composers, such as Mozart, Beethoven and Brahms, have written for these formations. But a string quintet with a double bass is rare and makes this ensemble unique!
