Mozes Rosenberg & Anton Goudsmit

These two Dutch top musicians have been putting on stunning performances all over the world for decades. The idiosyncratic guitarist Mozes Rosenberg has become one of the great virtuosos in the European gypsy jazz tradition and the energetic Anton Goudsmit appears everywhere thanks to his creative and exuberant approach. It feels to both gentlemen as if they have always played together. Their interplay runs like a well-oiled machine and when things threaten to get boring they always manage to give a surprising direction to their music. Their own work, gypsy and jazz standards, the blues, beautiful ballads and just about all the music styles they like, merge in Anton's electric guitar and Mozes's acoustic guitar. The fact that no performance will be the same is an obvious 'must' for these two improvisers and their performances are always infused with a refreshing dose of playing pleasure. Anton and Mozes are both exceptionally virtuoso in their own way and they like to challenge each other, but don't expect endless fiddling and showing of muscle. Their playing is frivolous, daring, varied and remains exciting until the last note.
