There will be a panel discussion after the movie. Moonlight is a coming-of-age drama that follows the life of Chiron, a young black man growing up in a rough Miami neighborhood, as he struggles with his identity, sexuality, and place in the world. The film is divided into three chapters, each focusing on a different stage of Chiron's life: childhood, adolescence, and adulthood. Ultimately, Chiron reconnects with an old friend, Kevin, leading to a moment of introspection and emotional closure as he comes to terms with his past. A poignant exploration of identity, masculinity, and the complexities of human relationships, offering a powerful and intimate portrayal of one man's journey to self-acceptance.
