Momoko Gill moves effortlessly between the underground jazz scene of South London and the electronic world of artists such as Matthew Herbert, Tirzah, Coby Sey, and Alabaster DePlume. As a drummer, producer, composer, and vocalist, she builds live shows that feel simultaneously raw, hypnotic, and emotional. Her music deliberately rubs against genres, and it is precisely there that the magic happens.

With her project Herbert & Momoko, she previously performed at festivals and venues such as Dekmantel, Rewire, Sónar, and Bimhuis in Amsterdam. Rotterdam now finally gets the chance to experience her own work up close in the intimate setting of BIRD.
