We see the journey that young Jeffrey takes after his hepatitis C diagnosis in 1999. A pharmaceutical company has the healing, but very expensive medicine in its hands. But it takes forever before it comes onto the market. In the meantime, Jeffrey becomes increasingly ill and the love story between him and his partner Max unfolds. When the medicine finally appears on the Dutch market in 2014, a major social discussion arises about the price. How much may a human life cost? Who is going to pay for it? And will this medicine reach Jeffrey in time?
