Manu Chao Acoustico + support Rumbaristas

Manu Chao, born June 21, 1961 in Paris, is an influential French-Spanish singer, songwriter and activist. With his characteristic mix of reggae, ska, punk and Latin American influences, Chao has built an impressive career worldwide. As the former frontman of the band Mano Negra, he made his breakthrough with hits such as "Mala Vida" and "King of Bongo" in the 1980s.

Manu Chao's solo career blossomed in 1998 with the album "Clandestino", the title track of which became a worldwide anthem. The album combined different languages and cultures, which is typical of Chao's eclectic style. His hits, including "Bongo Bong" and "Me Gustas Tú", conveyed an infectious energy and became cross-border successes. Manu Chao's music is steeped in social commitment, making him not only a musical pioneer but also a voice for social change.

Tonight in the Maassilo, Manu Chao will perform under the name 'Manu Chao Acoustico', with the Argentinian-Italian guitarist Lucky Salvadori and the Galician percussionist Miguel Rumbao at his side.
