Maite Hontelé & Ramón Valle

What started with an invitation for a one-off concert as a duo, turned out to be a bull's eye. Pianist Ramón Valle and brass player Maite Hontelé have now performed all over Europe and even recorded an album in Havana, Cuba. With the Cuban musical language in mind and in their bodies, they challenge each other again and again. Together they experience total freedom on stage. Their shared love of melody is the common thread in their collaboration. Ramón Valle is praised all over the world for his overwhelming, expressive piano playing, in which his Cuban background and his classical education are strongly present. As a Dutchwoman, Maite Hontelé lived in Colombia for many years and released five albums, two of which were nominated for a Latin Grammy. She gave concerts all over the world with her salsa band.
