Frommermann's musical journey

Ensemble Frommermann is celebrating its 20th anniversary. This unique ensemble consists of five singers, guitar, and piano. For their first vinyl album, Frommermann chose repertoire that perfectly reflects what the group stands for: nostalgic hits, classic songs, humor, and contemporary singalongs. Think of 'Chanson d'amour', 'Vondelpark', 'Du passt so gut zu mir wie Zucker zum Kaffee', and 'You'll Never Know'. In this way, Frommermann continues its mission to perform the repertoire of the Comedian Harmonists and to expand it with new arrangements and compositions.

The story of Frommermann

In 2005, six musical friends found each other through their love for the Comedian Harmonists. Commissioned by the Grachtenfestival, they presented a full-length program that year. This gave a voice back to the music of the ensemble, which had been banned in 1935. As a tribute, they named themselves after the founder of their idols: Harry Frommermann. Hundreds of rehearsals, countless concerts, six CDs, and many radio and television appearances are now behind them. The repertoire and the lineup have grown. Frommermann's mission has remained unchanged since the very beginning: to perform wonderful music at the highest level. The members are Jan-Willem Schaafsma (Tenor I), Erik Slik (Tenor II), Fabian Egli (Baritone I), Rick Zwart (Baritone II), Timotheus Maas (Bass), Paul van Utrecht (Guitar), and Celia García-García (Piano).
