Rotterdam celebrates fifty years of women's emancipation with a versatile festival full of art, music, film, talks and movement. The Luxor Summer Festival puts women central — from R&B yoga to bubbling party and feminist concert.
The Luxor Summer Festival celebrates the power, creativity and diversity of women in the context of fifty years of women's emancipation in Rotterdam. Spread over two weekends, the festival offers a rich program with music, dance, film, art and performance. During the first weekend, everything revolves around female artists, creative markets and theatrical evenings full of burlesque and live music. The second weekend focuses on Bubbling Baby , a film about Caribbean-Dutch heritage, with an expo, screenings and a splashing bubbling party. There are also Cape Verdean concerts, talks and a closing XXL R&B yoga session with a view of the city. A festival that celebrates, honors and reflects — and invites you to continue to build equal opportunities for everyone.
