Living Together - The Story of De Warren

With an introduction by Floris Schiferli. An Amsterdam group of friends dreams of living sustainably, affordably and above all together. De Warren is the first self-build housing cooperative in Amsterdam and consists of a collective of 36 households. This special way of living together requires a different role from the architect, municipality and builder. Without any prior knowledge, the collective managed to find its way in developing, designing and building a collective residential building. But at what price? The Story of De Warren shows what is needed to realize this special form of collective housing.
