Every second Wednesday of the month, the Wijkpaleis on Claes de Vrieslaan is transformed into a cinema 🎞️🎞️. We'll travel the world together to watch a film with the theme "Hometown" 🏠
On Wednesday, February 11th, we'll travel the world, with the animated documentary Flee on the schedule. In it, Amin recounts his flee from 1980s Afghanistan to present-day Denmark. Hand-drawn 2D animations chronicle his journey, showing corrupt Russian agents and inhumane human traffickers. The result: a remarkable story about how someone must repeatedly learn to call a new place home somewhere in the world 🌬️🍂
This Kijkpaleis evening begins at 8:00 PM. Tickets are available at the door for €4. The film is in multiple languages, so we're showing it with Dutch subtitles. The recommended age is 12+. We'll provide the popcorn! 🍿 If you'd like to join us for dinner at the Wijkpaleis beforehand, you can do so from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM for just €5. Please arrive on time!😋
