Joost Oomen & Kruidkoek - Liefde In Tijden van Hopjesvla

What do you get when you put Frank Zappa and Remco Campert in the blender? Talking Heads and Jules Deelder? Miles Davis and Simon Vinkenoog? That's right, Kruidkoek and Joost Oomen. In their new performance Liefde In Tijden Van Hopjesvla they once again present a nice mix of poetry and muscle jazz. Their goal: to completely immerse the audience in cheerfulness, absurdism and well… love?

Love In Times Van Hopjesvla is a brave attempt to rid love songs and love poetry of dripping clichés. Because yes, even in these strange times someone sometimes falls in love, but how do you say that sincerely? How do you avoid the harp and the sonnet? How do you express the custard in your chest that has suddenly caught fire?

About Kruidkoek

Kruidkoek consists of four hyper-talented jazz musicians who were tired of coloring within the lines. For ten years they have been bringing their unique music from Cairo to Middelburg, from the Parade to the flower parade in Tiel.

About Joost Oomen

Joost Oomen is the most famous young poet in the Netherlands. He previously brought All Poets Have Golden Helicopters to the theater, a performance in which he explains poetry to the Prime Minister.
