Izaline Calister Tula & Juliet, mijn overgrootmoeder, de slavin

Tula was leader of the largest uprising of slaves on Curaçao in 1795. Juliet, the grandmother of singer and theater maker Izaline Calister, experienced both slavery and its abolition. In this personal performance, Izaline tells how Tula's struggle for freedom influenced the life of her grandmother Juliët. Discover the profound connection between two special people.

A valuable story where past and present come together and the future is celebrated.
