In the Mouth of Madness
A horror book leads to madness in this ode to Lovecraft and Stephen King.
The search for a missing author
Private investigator John Trent sets out to find the missing horror author Sutter Cane, whose books drive readers to madness. Arkane Publishing hires Trent to find Cane, as his new manuscript is crucial to the publishing house. Trent follows Cane's tracks to the remote and gloomy village of Hobb's End. There, however, he discovers more than just the author's whereabouts.
Boundaries between reality and fiction
In Hobb's End, the boundaries between reality and the terrifying fiction of Cane's books blur. Trent becomes increasingly entangled in a world that seems to have been created by the stories of the missing writer. This film is a tribute to the works of H.P. Lovecraft and Stephen King, and explores the psychological impact of horror and the power of imagination.
