IFFR Kids Only - workshop “Maak je eigen soundtrack” met Watch that Sound

This Kids Only workshop “Make your own soundtrack” is led by the Rotterdam organization Watch That Sound. Participants will work with a selection of fragments from various films from the new educational offer of IFFR 2025. The children will learn more about the role of music and sound in films and will come up with, make and record a sound design themselves.

If you’ve ever watched a movie with the sound off, you’ll agree: film is more than just moving images. The music, sound effects, and dialogue all influence how we experience a movie.

The activity is especially for all young creatives from 8 to 12 years old. While the children are working, parents and caregivers can enjoy a film from the regular program on their own.
