Het Zwanenmeer

This ballet immerses us in the fairy tale of Prince Siegfried and Princess Odette. Odette has fallen victim to the magician Rothbart's famous spell: during the day she turns into a swan and at night she becomes a woman again. Only the promise of eternal love can free her from this spell. Siegfried promises Odette to marry her at the ball given in his honor. Will they escape the wiles of Rothbart and his daughter Odile? Will the prince be able to save his bride?

Swan Lake was created in 1875 by the Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and became the greatest classical success of all time in 1895, with its revival by choreographer Marius Petipa. Between "Pas de deux", romantic duets and "Dance des Petits Cygnes", the dancers will perform this masterful work with elegance, accompanied by a renowned orchestra. Swan Lake, a symbol of romantic ballet, continues to enchant children and adults alike.
