The Heerlense Sterrehuis

Laagland house writer Annet Bremen was inspired by the Sterrehuis in Heerlen, exemplary of many children's homes from the 1970s. This prize-winning theater text, based on Bremen's research and interviews with former Sterrehuis children and employees, is more current than ever. Based on this text – awarded the international youth theater writing prize Kaas & Kappes in 2023 and nominated for the Playwriting Prize – directing talent Silke van Kamp created a compelling performance with a fantastic cast.
