Het Debuut 2026
Three young theatre makers take their first steps on a bigger stage. Het Debuut is a programme with a 15-year track record, in which emerging talent gets the chance to present themselves to a broad audience.
New theatrical talent on stage
Het Debuut is a full-evening theater program in which three young makers showcase their work. It features makers who stood out at graduation presentations and theater festivals, and who are now reaching a larger audience. Exactly who will be on stage remains a surprise until the end. The makers are mentored by an experienced theater maker who previously participated in Het Debuut themselves.
A platform with a track record
Het Debuut has been running for 15 years and has since given many makers their first stage. Previous participants went on to become well-known names in Dutch theater, such as Rundfunk, ROTOR, Tarik Moree, and Julie Boellaard. The program is an initiative of Via Rudolphi Producties. De Volkskrant wrote about Het Debuut: 'The concept guarantees unpolished theatrical gems by emerging makers whom you encounter again in the mainstream circuit.'
