A folk singer is ready for his big show – only to find that the audience is made up of children. What follows is a hilarious and chaotic misunderstanding full of misplaced songs, rebellious spectators and a singer who just won't stop.
A melancholic folk singer enters the stage, ready to sing his greatest hits: about naughty dogs, complicated Christmas evenings and endless springs that never come. Only... the audience turns out to consist entirely of children. While the singer sings with full conviction about his adult misery, the young visitors start to wonder more and more loudly what on earth is going on. The theatre programmers are shocked – this is clearly not what they had booked. They subtly try to stop the performance, but the singer continues undisturbed, with increasing pathos. An absurd and hilarious performance unfolds, in which the theatre undermines itself and children take the reins. A comic clash between generations, styles and expectations – and an ode to misunderstanding. Because how do you stop someone who doesn't understand that he has to stop?
