Saxophonist Daan Kluwer, double bassist Alessandro Fongaro and guitarist Florian Verhagen are young Rotterdam jazz musicians who are making a name for themselves. They have united in a new project, in which they approach music from the perspective of the songwriter: simple, beautiful songs that tell a story.
Inspired by artists like David Crosby, Joni Mitchell and Blake Mills, they bring a mix of folk, Americana and jazz in an intimate setting. They search for the balance between melody and improvisation in both their own work and in the tributes to their favorite songwriters. The result is a warm, acoustic sound that invites you to stand still for a moment and enjoy the power of simplicity.
