Heerenhuyskamerconcert - Jikke Schepers
Jikke Schepers brings a mix of theatrical, narrative, humorous and pop-related songs. A concert in which she lets her audience see the world from a slightly different angle, with humor and a serious note.
Jikke Schepers graduated in 2023 as a cabaret artist from the Koningstheateracademie in Den Bosch, after which she completed a master's degree in songwriting at the Rotterdam Conservatory.
In this concert, Jikke will play the songs from her first full-length theatre performance about the role of mourning in our society, supplemented with songs about love, the climate and the question of whether there is something greater than just the earthly.
That may sound heavier than when you hear Jikke sing about it:
In [this recording](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6ab9uIK0vk) of her graduation performance you can hear
- 00.00 min. - birds in the garden
- 11.10 min. - cry cry
- 15.40 min. - no time
- 20.06 min - endorphins and white wine
- 33.30 min. - Nobody makes it rain
- 45.11 min - someone has to comfort me
Jikke will be accompanied on piano by Noah Oelderik, who, as a fellow cabaret artist, also writes beautiful songs, so a duet will certainly be heard.
Violist Sofie Blooij, who graduated as a viola player from the Rotterdam Conservatory last year, completes the trio.
