There is no better place to bring local residents in the big city closer together with sports, games and music. Everyone is welcome, will you join us?

Everyone, from young to old, is invited to participate in this exciting event. Come with friends, family, neighbors and join in the fun. There are great prizes to be won because the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize is shopping money at the Jumbo on the Schiedamseweg. But you have to do something first!

The Musical Chairs Dance is musically accompanied live by the Nazaten, a festive Surinamese & Dutch group where danceability is paramount. Everything is covered, from Surinamese kaseko, jazz, Antillean waltzes, fado, klezmer, European fanfare music, Mardi Grass, calypso and more. Supplemented with musical acts from the neighborhood.

Anyone who has registered online before Sunday, July 14, 10:00 AM will receive tickets via email. Online registration is required so that we know how many chairs we need to prepare. If you have not registered, please come by because there is probably still a seat available for you. You can register soon.

Entrance

Everyone is welcome, the Musical Chairs are free!

Tickets & arrival

1. Download your cards and print them out or save them on your phone

2. On the day itself, due to the crowds, we recommend that you register at the entrance between 12:45 and 1:15 PM (entrance closes at 1:30 PM)

3. Have your tickets at hand when you approach the entrance (are you keeping them on your phone? Turn your brightness to the highest setting)

3. When the tickets have been scanned, choose a nice lucky chair to start the game with.

4. The first round starts at exactly 1:30 PM.

Route

– We recommend everyone to come by public transport or by bike.

– The nearest public transport stops are: Marconiplein metro station with metro lines A/B/C (5 min walking distance), Marconiplein tram stop with tram line 4 (5 min walking distance) or Schiemond tram stop with tram line 8 (10 min walking distance). More information about the timetable via RET.

Tip: You are allowed to bring your own refreshing drink onto the playground. Stay hydrated!
