Giants Rising - WFFR Lokaal

Wildlife Film Festival Rotterdam (WFFR) annually shows the most beautiful and impactful films about nature from home and abroad. With the special program WFFR Lokaal, a selection of films is shown at 21 special locations, spread throughout Rotterdam. In addition, extra activities are organized around the film at many of our local locations. In this way, we bring nature closer to everyone!

Giants Rising reveals the secrets and stories of America’s most iconic trees: the redwoods. The tallest and oldest living things on Earth, these giants are a living bridge to the past. But they also hold powers that could shape our future. Through the voices of scientists, artists, indigenous peoples and others, the film reveals both the wonder and the threats facing these magnificent forests, with insights that can help us all survive.
