Giants Rising - WFFR Lokaal

The Wildlife Film Festival Rotterdam (WFFR) annually screens the most beautiful and impactful films about nature, both domestically and internationally. The special WFFR Local program screens a selection of films at 21 unique locations throughout Rotterdam. In addition, many of our local locations organize additional activities related to the film. This way, we bring nature closer to everyone!

Giants Rising reveals the secrets and story of America's most iconic trees: the redwoods. These giants, the tallest and oldest living beings on Earth, form a living bridge to the past. But they also hold powers that could influence our future. Through the voices of scientists, artists, indigenous peoples, and others, the film reveals both the wonder and the threats to these magnificent forests, offering insights that can help us all survive.
